Aquaplang – What is and how you can avoid it

Aquaplang is a phenomenon caused by the formation of a water film between the tires and the road. At that time, the adhesion of the car decreases drastically, since the strips of tires are no longer in contact with the streets are in very small contact. Therefore, the driver loses control over the brakes, on the direction and even acceleration.

• The engine can be listened to more and more, but although it is more tuned, the speed remains the same;
• The steering wheel becomes very soft;
• You have the impression that the back of the car «runs».

To take control of the car during Acquaplang, the most important thing is not to panic and then follow these steps:

1. Do not press the brakes to the maximum;
2. Gradually take the foot on the accelerator pedal;
3. Keep the steering wheel right;
4. If started, stop the self -cilot;
5. When you think the car takes control, you can start braking easily.

Calm is the key element in such situations. It is very important not to brush the car or press the pedals too much and pull the steering wheel, because when passing the water area, the tires will return to contact with the asphalt and you can cause an accident.

• Check the tire conditions
